Fort Offers Hunting  Tool Event

Charlestown — The Fort at No. 4 will host a demonstration of primitive hunting tools on Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

John Santos, of the Western Massachusetts Atlatl Society, will demonstrates the use of the tools, including the rabbit stick and the atlatl, a device used for throwing spears or darts. Visitors will be able to try the tools throughout the day. Admission to the fort is $10, $7 for seniors and youths age 13-17, $5 for children age 6-12 and free for those under 5.
