Mariah Bell, of Charlestown, 16, touches her dad's hand as he buckles her into her car before her first race ever at Twin State Speedway in Claremont yesterday. Her dad, Ryan Bell, has been going to the speedway since he was a kid and used to race cars as well. Mariah raced in honor of her grandfather, who died several years ago.
