Claremont Looks for Volunteer Flower Planters

Claremont — Now in its 11th year, the annual Opera House Square flower planting is once again reaching out for volunteers to help with this year’s effort on Saturday.

The beautification of the city center will take place between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. and volunteers are welcome to dig, plant or spread mulch. Those who own hand trowels are asked to bring them, but there will be extras for those who don’t. For any questions, call David at 542-2263. Planting will occur if there is light rain, but will be rescheduled to Sunday, June 2, in the case of heavy rain.
