Hilliary and Philip Van Voorhies
Lebanon — Hilliary Erin Hodgdon and Philip Coerten Van Voorhies were married on Nov. 3, 2012.
The wedding took place at The Lord Jeffery Inn in Amherst, Mass., and was presided over by Frank Parks Jr., a justice of the peace and longtime family friend. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a Melissa Sweet Lia dress, with alterations and a veil that were made by her mother. Laura McLaughlin was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Simone Metzger, Beth Pelletier and Emily Roberts. Flower girls were Elena Conklin and Anna Conklin. Groomsmen were Chris Van Voorhies, Matt Van Voorhies, Shane Conklin and Brian Trybulski. A reception followed at inn.
The bride is the daughter of Pamela Barlow, of Lebanon, and Grant Hodgdon, of Cornish. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 2001, earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science in 2005, and a master’s degree in animal biotechnology and biomedical sciences in 2008, both from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and is employed as an associate scientist at EnVivo Pharmaceuticals in Watertown, Mass.
The bridegroom is the son of Sandra and Stephen Van Voorhies, of Westford, Mass. He graduated from Westford Academy in 2002, received a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2006 and a master’s degree in accounting in 2007, both from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and is employed in the finance department at Bose Corp. in Framingham, Mass.
The couple honeymooned in Hawaii. They make their home in Sudbury, Mass.
