Calling All Ham Radio Operators: Springfield Radio Fest is Saturday

Springfield, Vt. — A free amateur radio swap fest is set for Saturday from 9 a.m.–noon at the First Congregational Church, 77 Main St.

The event is sponsored by the Connecticut Valley FM Association and supported by the American Radio Relay League.

“Hams” are invited to set up tables with equipment they hope to swap, or to show off a favorite aspect of the hobby, organizers said in a recent news release. “Can you demonstrate your logging program, do a satellite demo, show off your home brew antennas?”

Tables are $10 for hams and vendors, with a two table maximum. Members of CVFMA pay $5 per table. Setup is from 7–8 a.m. To reserve a table, contact CVFMA at N1QDT@arrl.net or call Steve N1QDT at 802-885-8110.

Those who lose their way on route to the swap can call in to the “Saturday Morning Talk In,” operating from the top of Mount Ascutney on the 146.760 CVFMA repeater (-) Pl 110.9.
