Grafton County Commissioner Cryans to Run for Executive Council

Hanover — Grafton County Commissioner Mike Cryans today says he plans to run for the District 1 Executive Council seat left vacant by the death of longtime Executive Councilor Ray Burton.

Cryans, a Hanover Democrat, served for years as a county commissioner alongside Burton, and the two became political allies.

The 62-year-old Cryans is a Littleton, N.H., native.

Grafton County makes up about one-third of the sprawling Executive Council district. The filing deadline ends Dec. 2, with an election set for Jan. 21. See more information in tomorrow’s Valley News.
