Letter: Tasty Way to Raise Money
To the Editor:
More than 130 people came to CraftStudies at the Hanover League of N.H. Craftsmen on Nov. 2 to sample chili. They purchased a bowl made by CraftStudies’ past and present students, instructors and members of the public. They then used the bowl to taste Cajun-pulled pork from Boloco, three-meat chili from Canoe Club, vegetarian chili from King Arthur Flour and John Quimby, and a three-alarm chili from EBA’s. Bowls were cleaned out between tastings with garlic bread from Ramunto’s. Water, spoons, napkins, etc. were paid for by a generous donation from Mascoma Bank.
The spicy fundraiser raised money for the Upper Valley Haven and CraftStudies. On behalf of these two organizations, I’d like to thank the sponsors for their delicious contributions, the volunteers who helped put on this event and the people who came, bought and ate! It was a wonderful way to raise money. Watch for the same event next year.
