Newport, N.H. — Dwight Lancey passed away on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013. He was born July 13, 1964, to Carolyn Farwell and raised by his stepfather, Austin Farwell.
He worked long and hard as a carpenter and landscaper, most recently for David Gale and Jeremy Zullo of Zullo Property Maintenance.
Dwight was a loving, kind man with a heart large enough for everyone, including strangers. He loved working with the Special Olympics. He loved hunting, fishing, baseball (Red Sox), football (Patriots), telling stories, and eye candy everywhere and pointing them out to whomever he was with. He wouldn’t rest until he made you smile. Some of his favorite sayings were; Hey hun or bud, f… stick, cut it out, oh don’t start, I hate it when that happens, tell me it ain’t so, I’ll knock 40 pounds off you’re a.., spit it out it ain’t yours, how’d that do ya, and many more.
He was predeceased by his mother and by his daughter, Crystal Lancey.
He is survived by his fiancé, Debbey Morale; by his son, Allen Lancey; stepsons, Kris Page and his wife, Karol and Anthony Boardman; stepdaughter, Kristen Boardman; his brothers, Charles Lancey and Calvin Lancey; his sisters, Theresa Carlton and her husband, Dave and Carrie Gendron (sissy bum) and her husband, Norm; several grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many many friends who will miss him very much.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Hope Fellowship Evangelical Church on Laurel Street in Newport.
