Enfield, N.H. — Andrew Amore, 87 of Enfield, husband of 68 years to Dorothy (Caswell) Amore, passed away on Sept. 13, 2013, in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Father of Doreen Amore, Francesca (Wayne) Piekarski, with whom he resided, Andrea (William) Kusmit, Christine Wiehler and April Amore (Cochrane); grandfather of Paul and Reginald DuBois, Dana Pirovane, William Andrew and Jaclyn Kusmit, and Alisandra and Ian Cochrane, also, great-granddaughter Keira Pirovane. Also surviving are two brothers, Pasquale and John Amore; and a sister, Marie Amore. Andrew was predeceased by two brothers, Vincenzo (Jim) Amore and Michael Amore.
He was born in New Haven, Conn. on May 20, 1926, to Frank and Anna (Rocco) Amore. He pursued many self-employed business projects and worked as a machinist for many years. In his later years he ran an antique store and worked as an armed guard. Although not classically trained, he was an accomplished musician on the banjo, mandolin and organ. Andy was also a great cook.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at St. John’s Church in North Haven, Conn.
