Pauline A. (Pennock) Langley

Exeter, N.H. — Pauline A. (Pennock) Langley, 95, long-time resident of Hampton, N.H. died at Langdon Place of Exeter on Sunday, March 10, 2013.

Polly was born on December 11, 1917 in Hanover, N.H. to E. Howard and M. Hazel Pennock. Polly graduated from Hanover High School, Class of 1936 and Bryant & Stratton Secretarial School in Boston, Mass. After graduation she worked at the Daily Dartmouth. In 1940, she married the love of her life, Kenneth W. Langley of Hampton Beach, N.H. They were married for 62 years. Polly belonged to the Hampton Monday Club, the Portsmouth Yacht Club, Wentworth Golf Club, Abenaqui Country Club and the Deerfield Beach Country Club. She also attended the First Congregational Church of Hampton for many years. Polly and Ken wintered in Pompano Beach, Fla. for 27 years.

Polly was predeceased by her parents, her husband Ken, and two grandsons-in-law, Christopher Bernier and James Brailsford. She is survived by her three angels, Suzanne Langley of Hampton, Gail L. Donald and her husband, Raymond of Kingston, N.H. and Karen L. Current and her husband, Donavon of Hampton and St. Croix, VI. Also surviving is her oldest granddaughter and caregiver, Melissa Donald of Rochester, N.H.; grandchildren, Heather Bernier-De Marco and her husband, Robert; Dannielle Sargent of Plymouth, N.H.; Derrick Hansler of Plymouth; Kenneth Donald and his wife, Julieann of Rochester, N.H.; Shannon Littlefield and her husband, William of Sanbornville, N.H., Jeffrey Donald and his wife, Kathleen of Brentwood, N.H.; twelve great-grandchildren, Bobbie, Andrew, Zachary, Brittany, Lucas, Zinnia, Eliot, William, Chloe, McCarthy, Seth and Kayla; and one great-great-granddaughter, Adrian.

Family and friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday, March 14, 2013, from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter.

The funeral service will follow on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at 11:00 am, at the funeral home. The Rev. Deborah Knowlton will officiate. A private burial will be held in the spring at the Hampton Cemetery. No flowers please. Donations may be made in her memory to the First Congregational Church, 127 Winnacunnet Rd., Hampton, NH 03842.
