Ann Irene Fiedler
Norwich, Vt. — Ann Irene Fiedler, born Jan. 11, 1944, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
Ann inspired many with her creative spirit which she expressed through her beautiful garden, home, artwork, and personal appearance (red hair!), as well as through ballet, tai chi, and other forms of dance. She was born and grew up in Seattle, later moving to Pennsylvania, New York, and Connecticut to pursue an equestrian career, then moving to Vermont to resume a professional career.
At the Vermont Department of Corrections she and her colleagues pioneered the community restorative justice programs including volunteer coordination. She delighted in her work as costume designer for Revels North where she managed the cleanup after Hurricane Irene.
Ann’s family includes husband, Nick Krembs; son, Jesse Krembs; stepchildren, Fritz and Greer Krembs; sister, Kimberly Bowen and brother Daniel Hardt; father, John Fiedler; and Nick’s siblings, Gretchen, Janie, Tina, and John, and their families. She was pre-deceased by a brother, David Fiedler, mother Beth Fielder, and father Hank Hardt. Ann is deeply loved and missed by her family and friends.
Ann’s family thanks friends in Norwich and the Upper Valley, Norris Cotton Cancer Center’s medical staff and family support services, Hospice Program of Vermont and New Hampshire for supporting Ann and encouraging her vibrant creativity.
A celebration of her life will occur in May or June. In lieu of flowers, you may send donations to Revels North.
