Julienne Harriet Monahan Spydell

Claremont, N.H. — Julienne Harriet Monahan Spydell, 70, of Hanover Street in Claremont died on Friday, March 8, 2013 at her home surrounded by family.

She was born in Newport, Vt. on July 16, 1942 the daughter of Arthur and Juliette (Morris) Monahan. She was a 1960 graduate of North Stratford High School, North Stratford, N.H.

She worked as the Activities Director for Elm Wood Care Center.

Julienne was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing and crafts of all kinds.

The family includes her husband, David Spydell of Claremont; her children, Melinda Chase of Ocala, Fla., Keith Chase and his wife, Lisa of Lacey, Wash., Greg Chase and his wife, Debra of Claremont, Mark Chase and his wife, Sharon of Claremont and Sarah Beaudry and her husband, Jason of Claremont; two step sons, Alan Spydell of Bakersfield, Calif. and Mark Spydell of Plainfield; ten grandchildren, Melody Walton, Emily Chase-Mas, Jacob Chase, Holly Chase, Courtney Chase, Katie Chase, Corbin Beaudry, Nancy Lee, Patrick Merrill and Alan Lee; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Maureen Monahan and Linda Hurd both of Hinsdale N.H. also many nieces and nephews, and her first husband, Ruel Chase of Claremont.

She was predeceased by both her parents, her two brothers, Terrance and Bruce and an infant daughter Melody.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday evening March 13th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont.

Funeral services will be held Thursday March 14th at the Funeral Home at 11 a.m. with Father Stanley Piwowar officiating.

Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Bloomfield, Vt. at a later date.

The family suggests that donations be made in her memory to the Connecticut Valley Home Care/Hospice, 958 John Stark Highway, Newport, N.H. 03773-2609.
