Albert T. “Albie” Miles
Claremont, N.H. — Albert T. “Albie” Miles, 58 of Veterans Park Road in Claremont died Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont surrounded by his loving family, following a period of failing health. He was born in Claremont on July 3, 1954, the son of Theron and Rena (Granger) Miles and had been a lifetime Claremont resident. He was a graduate of Stevens High School, Class of 1973.
Albie had been employed by Sullivan Machine in Claremont and later worked for REFCO in Lebanon, N.H. He had also worked for Cape Cod Potato Chips and at the Pleasant Restaurant, Indian Shutters and Pleasant Street Restaurant. Albie was very sports minded. He played CYO basketball in grammar school, and the Claremont Men’s softball and basketball league. Albie was an avid golfer. He was a lifelong New York Yankee fan. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion, Post#29 in Claremont. He had a way of brightening up any room that he walked into with just a smirk and a sarcastic word. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was predeceased by his parents. Members of his family include a brother, Randal Miles, Claremont; the love of his life, Jeannie Barrett, Claremont; his dog, Missy (pretty pretty ) as he called her; many cousins; two aunts, Rose Drapeau and Theresa Rozwadowski; and numerous friends.
A time of remembrance and sharing will be held at the Roy Funeral Home, 93 Sullivan Street, Claremont on Saturday, March 9 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Committal services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
