Thomas Z. White, MD

New London, N.H. — Thomas Z. White, MD, 56, of New London, died suddenly on Friday, March 1, 2013, at his home.

Dr. White was born on Aug. 1, 1956 in Flushing, N.Y., the son of Thomas and Janice White.

His is survived by his children, Zachary, Kayla and Joshua White. He is also survived by his mother, Janice; brothers, Timothy, James, John and Joseph; and sister, Kathleen. He was pre-deceased by his father Thomas C. White.

Thomas attended St. Mary’s Academy in Glens Falls, N.Y. He went on to earn a degree in Biology at St. Michaels College. He received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi. His residency was completed in Albany, N.Y. where he continued to practice general surgery until his retirement.

Tom enjoyed many curricular activities including, skiing, snowmobiling, biking, running, tennis, golf and boating. One of his greatest accomplishments was climbing the Adirondack high peaks. Some of his favorite time was spent at Schroon Lake where many of his best friends still reside.

Visiting hours will be Monday evening, March 4, 2013, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main Street, New London. A funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima, New London.

A celebration of Tom’s life will be held immediately following Mass at Lake Sunapee Country Club.
