Rand F. Kelley

Canaan, N.H. — Rand F. Kelley, 61, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.

He was born Aug. 29, 1951, in Lebanon son of J.F. and Shirley (Daines) Kelley. He grew up in Enfield and graduated from Mascoma Regional High School in 1969. After school Rand enlisted in the Army and was stationed mainly in Korea until his discharge at which time he moved to Oklahoma briefly then moved to Colorado Springs, Colo. before returning to the Upper Valley in 1985 where he has lived since. While in the Upper Valley he worked construction for several people including Staggs & Warren and most recently at Estes & Gallup. On Jan. 1, 2001, he was married to Linda Rollman in Canaan.

In his spare time Rand enjoyed riding his Harley and his tractor, hunting, campfires, cookouts and music. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends who referred to him as “King”.

Rand was predeceased by his father J.F. Kelley and his first wife Deborah Anne (Smith) Kelley in 1998.

He is survived by his wife, Linda of Canaan; his mother, Shirley of Clifton, Tenn.; two children, Melissa Kelley Champney and her husband, Jon of Enfield and Randy A. Kelley and his fiancé, Jennifer Duncan of South Royalton, Vt.; two stepsons, Ian A. Danner of Canaan and Cory J. Danner of South Royalton; seven grandchildren, Megan and Daniel Naylor, Henry Champney, Brendin, Sarah, Emily and Natalie Kelley; four step grandchildren, Bryan Kendall-Ballou and Colby J., Alexander and Liam G. Danner; four sisters, Karlya Wheeler of West Canaan, N.H., Kendra J. Pohtre of Clifton, Tenn., Kris Robinson of Virginia Beach, Va. and Kori Kelly of Washington; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in the Lakeview Cemetery in Enfield in the Spring. Ricker Funeral Home & Crematory in Lebanon assisted with arrangements. Messages of sympathy for the family can be left at www.rickerfuneralhome.com.
