Beverly J. Elliott
Marlow, NH. — Beverly J. Elliott, 70, of Marlow, died peacefully Monday morning, Feb. 4, 2013, in the comfort of her home, following a long courageous battle with COPD.
She was born in Enfield, N.H., on Sept. 9, 1942, the daughter of Fred Orren and Doris Lillian (Hazelton) Stearns. She attended schools in the Upper Valley area around Lebanon, N.H.
She married Donald L. Elliott on June 20, 1964, in a ceremony in Newport, N.H. She was a resident of Marlow for the remaining 48 plus years.
Mrs. Elliott, or “YaYa” to her grandchildren, considered herself a Domestic Engineer. Her career was that of a homemaker and caregiver, and she loved every moment of it. From raising and taking care of her home, husband and her three daughters, then three of her grandchildren, she loved spending time with her family. Summer trips to the family camp in Stewartstown, N.H. were looked forward to each year. Watching her daughters grow into young women, and her grandchildren grow and participate in their many activities was her greatest hobby. YaYa was their biggest cheerleader.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Donald L. Elliott of Marlow; her three daughters, Lisa Boucher and her husband, Robert of Marlow, Wendy Durant and her husband, Freeman of Marlow and Cindi Connolly and her husband, Michael of Temple; eight beloved grandchildren, Elliott Connolly, Emilee Boucher, JR Guyette, Shelby Durant, Savannah, Ryan and Kinsley Audet and Gage Maguire; a brother, Paul Stearns and his wife, Wilma of Grantham, N.H.; her sister, Madeline McGonis of Lebanon, N.H.; her brothers-in-law, Richard Elliott and his wife, Martha and Guy Elliott, Sr. and his wife, Becky of Marlow; her sisters-in-law, Rose Elliott and Katherine Elliott, both of Marlow, and Carol Elliott of Keene; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins whom all held special places in her heart.
She was predeceased by her beloved granddaughter: Abigail Bevlyn Connolly who died in 2010; her brothers, Raymond, Ralph, Reginald, Robert, Eli and Fred; her sisters, Ruth Auclair, Bernita Plume, Marjorie Hines, Jean Arsenault and Maxine Preston; and her brothers-in-laws, Charles Elliott, Sr., James Elliott, Sr. and David Elliott, Sr.
