Ralph A. Burnham
Windsor, Vt. — Ralph A. Burnham, 67, a longtime resident of Windsor, passed away suddenly Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at his home in Windsor.
He was born Jan. 29, 1945, in Worcester, Mass. the son of Morris Wayne and Flossie (Gibbs) Burnham. He received his schooling in Windsor. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War Era. He was employed by Knox and Sons Tree Service in Windsor for several years and later for Asplundh Tree in Hartland. He also was employed by the Town of Windsor Highway Department for several years. He most recently drove truck for Kleen Linen in Lebanon until his retirement in 2004. During his retirement he enjoyed snowplowing. He was a member of the Windsor Lions Club and the Windsor Volunteer Fire Department.
He was predeceased by his parents and by two sisters, Shirley Kibling in 2010 and Beatrice Gibbs in 2012.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Yaunita (Kribstock) Burnham of Windsor; one son, Ralph A. Green and his wife Marni, of Danville, Vt.; four daughters, Lorie A. Burnham-LaFlam and her husband, Thaddeus of Brandon, Vt., Lynn M. Burnham of Newport, Vt., Lisa M. Kribstock of Windsor and Melissa Sanborn of Claremont, N.H.; two brothers, Wayne Burnham of Hartland, Vt. and Thomas Burnham of Claremont; one sister, Marie Edwards of Cornish, N.H.; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor on Thursday evening, Jan. 24, 2013, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held Friday morning, Jan. 25, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Amanda Lape-Freeberg, Pastor of the Old South Congregational Church in Windsor, officiating. Committal services will be held in the spring in the family lot in the Ascutney Cemetery in Windsor.
