Carlton E. Joslyn

Lebanon N.H. — Carlton E. Joslyn, 83, of Lebanon, N.H., died peacefully at his home on Friday Jan. 18, 2013.

Carlton was born on March 26, 1929, in Limerick, Maine, the son of Gilbert and Minnie (Lesveque) Joslyn. Carlton moved to the Upper Valley as a young boy with his family and grew up in Canaan, N.H.

Carlton was a construction worker his whole life. One of his proudest accomplishments was being part of the crew who built Interstate 89. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and could always be found on a sunny day at Sunapee harbor fishing for salmon with his cigarettes and lighter under the brim of his hat. He loved motorcycles and “fancy” cars.

On June 12, 1965, Carlton was married to Beverly LaHaye, of Lebanon, N.H. She predeceased him on Dec. 15, 2005. Carlton was also preceded by two brothers; Alfred and Harold Joslyn.

Carlton leaves behind his two children, a son, Michael T. Joslyn, and a daughter, Kimberly J. Cook, and her husband, Mike, of Lebanon, N.H. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Joshua J. Flanders and his wife, April, of Lebanon, N.H., and Zachary E. Flanders, also of Lebanon, N.H., and one great-grandson, Jaxson J. Flanders, of Lebanon, N.H. Carlton’s greatest love was his family. Affectionately know as “Beepa,” he always had a dollar or two and a warm, kind smile with a loving hug for his grandchildren.

Upon Mr. Joslyn’s request, there will be no calling hours or services. Please see the online condolences page at www.rand-wilson.com.
