Ruth M. Derby
Franklin, N.H. — Ruth M. Derby, 94, of 7 Baldwin Street, formerly of Springfield, N.H., died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at the Mountain Ridge Health Care Center in Franklin.
She was born on Aug. 18, 1918, in Belmont, N.H., the daughter of Nathan and Elsie (Smith) Dow. Ruth worked as a stitcher for W.H. Carter & Sons in Lebanon for a number of years.
She is survived by one son, Ronald D. Derby of Webster, N.H.; one daughter, Marsha Glasscock of Springfield, N.H.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Elmer F. Derby in 1991 and one sister, Carol Fortin.
There will be no calling hours.
A grave side service will be held in the spring at the South Road Cemetery in Belmont.
