Paul W. MacDonald
Enfield, N.H. — Paul W. MacDonald, 82, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Clough Nursing Home. He was born in Hanover, N.H. on Jan. 5, 1931, to Paul and Jeanette MacDonald. Paul received his elementary and secondary education in New Hampshire, after which he joined the US Navy and fought in the Korean War. After being honorably discharged, he went to work for the telephone company where he worked for 35 years.
On Sept. 19, 1951, he married Dorothy Parker. The couple lived in Lebanon.
He enjoyed sports and loved coaching Little League baseball and youth basketball. He was active with The Dollars for Scholars program for many years.
Paul is survived by his longtime companion and best friend, Nancy Jennings; his son, Scott and his wife, Christine Axten of Enfield; his daughter, Judith and her husband, Larry Fairbanks of, Fort Peirce, Fla.; three grandchildren, Jonathan and Jason of Fort Pierce and Sierra MacDonald of Enfield; and sister, Maureen and husband, Donald Stefanowicz of Nashua; and several nieces and nephews.
Paul was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (1987), and sister Marilyn.
