Arthur Paul Manville, Sr.

Lebanon, N.H. — Arthur Paul Manville Sr., 73, a lifelong Lebanon resident died at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013. He was born on June 23, 1939, to the late Paul O. & Virginia M. (Rancourt) Manville. Art graduated from Lebanon High School, class of 1958. Over the years Art has held many positions, he worked for his father in the family rubbish removal service, E. Cummings Leather Co., Densmore Brick Co., Emerson Gardens, Cemetery dept., High School, Houghton Mifflin all of Lebanon and Kendall of Hanover. He also worked for himself mowing lawns, snow plowing and general carpentry. Art was also a volunteer firefighter in Lebanon.

Art was known as a patriotic man who loved his country. He enjoyed oil painting and tinkering on small engines. Most of all he loved his family and spending the summers on Goose Pond fishing and watching his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Manville of Lebanon; a son, Arthur “Artie” P. Manville and his wife, Mic of Lebanon; a daughter, Mary Lembke and her husband, David of Enfield; a brother, Ernest J. Manville of Lebanon; and a sister, Marilyn Bassett of Vienna, Mo.; four grandchildren, Casey Lembke, Coleman, Ethan, and Haylee Manville; nieces and nephews. Art was predeceased by two sisters, Connie Lambert and Nancy Dunn.

Family and friends are invited to a calling hour at Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, beginning at 10 a.m. with a funeral to follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in the Valley Cemetery. Rev. Roger Wotton will officiate.
