Drury Allen Morgan

Woodstock, Vt. — Drury Allen Morgan, 45, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Dec. 28, 2012.

Born in Atlanta, Ga., she had lived in Vermont for the past 10+ years. She was attending Stafford Technical Center in Rutland, Vt. and was enrolled in the LNA program, due to finish in January 2013. She was employed at Mendon Mountainview Lodge in Killington, Vt.

A lively, social woman who loved God, Drury had many interests, but none meant more to her than her family.

She leaves a son, James Morgan, Jr., a senior at Woodstock High School; a sister, Laura Chandler of Dover, N.H.; a brother, John Ray, Jr. of Strafford, N.H.; nephews, Tyler and Jacob Ray of Strafford; a niece, Lillie Chandler of Dover; her partner, Andy Blanchard of Mendon, Vt.; and many relatives and friends who loved her dearly. She is predeceased by her mother, Judith Ray of York, Maine and her father, John Ray, Sr. of Lansing, Kan.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the James Morgan, Jr. Fund at Lake Sunapee Bank, 1 Bond St., Woodstock, Vt. 05091.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at Aldous Funeral Home in Rutland, Vt. Visiting hours will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a service at 6:30 pm. A private family burial will follow in Newington, N.H.
