Eleanor E. Kibbie
Lebanon, N.H. — Eleanor E. Kibbie, 92, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 at Genesis Eldercare in Lebanon.
She was born January 11, 1920 in Lebanon a daughter of the late Elwin R. and Dora (Carey) Townsend. Eleanor grew up in Lebanon and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1938 and shortly after married Clifford R. Kibbie and starting a family, raising four children. After having her first child, Eleanor began working at H.W. Carter & Sons for a time before going to work at Split Ball Bearing for 25 years. After retiring she stayed home and helped take care of her grandchildren. In the early 1980’s, Eleanor moved to Zephyrhills, Fla. for several years before moving to North Carolina. She moved back to Lebanon in 1999 and has lived here since.
Eleanor was a member of the Kingdom Hall in Lebanon and enjoyed doing puzzles and reading. In her younger years she liked to sew and knit.
She was predeceased by her husband Clifford; a son David and by two brothers and five sisters.
Eleanor is survived by her children, Robert Kibbie and his wife, Katherine of Cornish; Deborah Judd of Lebanon and Edward Kibbie of Sarasota, Fla.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Laro of Lebanon.
