Wallace Stephen Wysk

Plainfield, N.H. — Wallace Stephen Wysk, 59, died Sunday, July 27, 2014, at DHMC, following a courageous battle against cancer.

Wally was born on Nov. 1, 1958, in Adak, Alaska to Wallace and Eunice (Freniere) Wysk. He was the second of seven children and grew up in Bernardston, Mass.

Wally lived and loved music. He was an extraordinary musician. He played his guitar all over New England and passed that gift on to guitar students in the Upper Valley for over 30 years. Wally worked with numerous musicians and put his heart and soul into each note. He made a living doing what he loved to do.

He became an EMT in 2010 and then an LNA for TLC Nursing Solutions when he could no longer withstand the demands of emergency medicine due to his illness.

Wally is survived by his three sons, Isreal Wysk (Liz Baldwin Wysk mother) of Baltimore, Md., Zachary Wysk and Caleb Wysk (Barbara Welch mother) of Hartland, Vt. He is further survived by his loving parents of Bernardston; siblings: Linda Maffioli of Riverside, Calif., Susan (Brian) Lahoski of North Bernardston, Mass., David Wysk (Tamara) of Noblesville, Ind., Donna Reynolds (Kenneth) of Orange, Mass., Kenneth Wysk (Christina) of Bernardston; his aunt, Thelma (Maurice) Tetreault of Chicopee, Mass.; dear friends, Seth Thomas of Windsor, Vt. and Rosaire and Joy Pellitier of Plainfield, N.H.; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and his family of musician friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert.

There will be no calling hours. An arrangement for a celebration of his life is being planned.

His family requests that donations are sent in his memory to Norris Cotton Cancer Center at D-H/Geisel Office of Development, Office of Gift Recording, One Medical Center Drive, Hinman Box 7070, Lebanon, NH 03756-0001 or online at http://cancer.dartmouth.edu/dv/support_patient_services.html
