Getting a Lift

Unable to resist the fresh snow despite the cold, Ross Hudson of Royalton and his daughters Iris and Emma visited his parents' farm to snowboard and ski on the family hill in Royalton Thursday, January 2, 2013. Hudson's grandfather built the rope tow that now runs off the engine of a Ford Ranger and he remembers having to side step up the slope when deep snow made the line difficult to use. "We work at it every year hoping to make it go again," said Hudson.
