Vermont's Unrealistic Plan to Reduce CO2
Any strategy to counteract global warming must make it possible to stabilize, not just to lower, greenhouse gases to safe levels. The goal should be to curb emissions so that concentrations in the atmosphere return to normal levels and stay there. Thus, the acid test for any climate change mitigation scheme should be: Are the proposed reductions grounded in a scientific plan for restoring greenhouse gases to safe and stable levels? Not all reductions will do that. See full story
