PLACES OF INTEREST

West Windsor Town Forest: More than 1,000 acres of walking trails on the western slopes of Mount Ascutney make up the town forest, which is used for hiking, bird watching, picnicking and cross-country skiing. There are eight separate trails, all off the Vermont Bicentennial Trail, which starts at the parking lot located off Coaching Lane Road.
Historical Society Museum: Located in the Old Grange Building in the center of Brownsville.
Baked Bean Suppers: Every Saturday evening in July at the Grange Hall, food served from 5 to 7 p.m. Proceeds benefit the historical society, Albert Bridge Memorial School and the Brownsville Methodist Church.
Roast Beef Suppers: Second Sunday of each month from September through June at the Brownsville Community Church. Food served from 4 to 6 p.m. Proceeds benefit the church.
