PLACES OF INTEREST

Joseph Smith Memorial, Dairy Hill Road. Smith was the founder of the Mormon religion. Open to the public every day. Dairy Hill Road is off Route 14 about a mile south of South Royalton. There is a marker at the intersection. Call 763-7742 for information.
South Royalton Village: On the National Register of Historic Places, the village contains a late-19th-century brick business block, historic homes, Vermont Law School, a sizable green with a bandstand and the South Royalton house, once a railroad hotel.
