Grafton Pond: This large, clear pond with numerous small islands is great for swimming, fishing and canoeing. Almost no buildings interrupt its shoreline. No boats with motors over 10 horsepower are permitted, and overnight camping is prohibited.

Ruggles Mine: “The Mine in the Sky” sits high atop Isinglass Mountain in Grafton Center and affords a spectacular view. The mine was the first in the country to begin producing mica, in 1803, and subsequently yielded an estimated $30 million in valuable minerals. No longer commercially operated as a mineral source, the mine welcomes visitors who can try their luck at collecting more than 150 different minerals that have been found here or exploring the dramatic giant rooms and tunnels with their arched ceilings, which have been carved out of the mine over its 192-year lifetime.

Tewksbury Pond Boat Ramp: Offers free launching facilities for small watercraft, except for those with petroleum-burning engines. This very deep, crystal-clear lake is stocked with trout annually and is a favorite fishing spot all year long.

Grafton Recreation Field: Has a horse ring, basketball court and picnic tables. Located on Prescott Road.
