Residents of Dorchester enjoy a wide variety of outdoor recreation opportunities, from hunting and fishing in the town's forests and streams to snowmobiling along the miles of well-marked trails cut and maintained by snowmobiling clubs in Canaan, Rumney and Wentworth. These trails are also popular for hiking in the summer. Those brave souls who don't mind bushwhacking can also hike to the summit of Streeter Mountain.
Dorchester Old Home Days will be held July 18-20, 2003. For more information, call Linda Landry at (603) 523-7119.
