Points of interest include the Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site, the sculptor's old home and grounds, replete with examples of his work. The site is located just off Route 12A, a short distance north of the Cornish-Windsor Covered Bridge. It draws 40,000 visitors a year from Memorial Day to late October. The replica of Saint-Gaudens' reputation-making statue of Adm. David Farragut was unveiled during the memorials 75th anniversary in 1994.
Corbin Park may be a point of interest, but it's not one you're likely to see up close. It is an exclusive wild-game preserve serving members only. A tall fence around the entire preserve, well over 20,000 acres, keeps the public out.
The 450-foot-long Cornish-Windsor Covered Bridge, restored several years ago, is the nation's longest bridge of its type.
The Cornish Colony Gallery and Museum, located about one-half mile south of Cornish town line, on the west side of Route 12A.
