WOODSTOCK — The Town of Woodstock is set to direct $45,000 in wage relief to employees of Woodstock-based businesses who lost wages, or will continue to lose wages, due to the recent flooding and subsequent water shutdown.

The money comes from the volunteer-led Woodstock Economic Development Commission, and was unanimously approved by the Selectboard earlier this week.

Those who have lost between 12 and 19 hours of work are eligible to receive up to $250, and those who have lost 20 or more hours of work could receive up to $500. Payment may be reduced if the number of applicants exceeds available funding, according to the commission’s website.

Affected employees can apply at woodstock-vermont.com/wages. The application is scheduled to close on Wednesday, Aug. 9.
