Woodstock — Julia McNeil and Matthew Lake were married on July 1, 2017, at The Woodstock Inn and Resort in Woodstock.

The Rev. Becca Girrell and Rabbi David Kudan officiated at the ceremony. Emilie McNeil, Christie Clarke, Melinda Bothe, Mary Groskin, Kelly Frontino, Madison Soler and Haley Thaxton were the bridesmaids. Tobias Lake, Joshua Lake, Jim Phelan, Elliott McNeil, Andy Patmos and Doug Stokowski were the groomsmen. Isabella and Lilia Lake were the flower girls. Zachary Lake was the ring bearer.

The bride wore a blush one-shoulder gown and a cathedral veil. Bridesmaids wore citrus-colored dresses of orange, pink and yellow. Groomsmen wore tuxedos. The wedding ceremony was interfaith, honoring traditions from both Christian and Jewish religions. A reception followed at the inn.

The bride is the daughter of Jane Shay McNeil, of Williamsburg, Va., and Kenneth McNeil, of Charleston, W.Va. She graduated from Capital High School in Charleston in 2007 and earned a bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University in 2011 and a medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, W.Va., in 2015. She is employed as an internal medicine PGY-3 resident at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

The bridegroom is the son of Edna and Sanford Lake, of Middle Grove, N.Y. He graduated from Schenectady High School in Schenectady, N.Y., in 2000 and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado in Denver in 2009. He earned a medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2015 and is employed as an anesthesia PGY-3 resident at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

The couple honeymooned in Bermuda and live in West Lebanon.
