Town Meeting: Sharon elects Gish to Selectboard

SHARON — Sharon residents approved a budget of $1.9 million at the town’s floor meeting on Tuesday. $1.4 million of that is slated to come from taxes.

The budget is up from last year’s $1.86 million budget, resulting in education spending of $19,889 per equalized pupil. That is 6.28% higher than the current year’s spending.

Voters also approved a $5.88 million school budget.

Kevin Gish was elected uncontested to a 3-year term on the Selectboard.
