Man found dead in Randolph Center cemetery

RANDOLPH CENTER — Police are investigating after a 39-year-old Randolph man was found dead in the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Wednesday afternoon.

Vermont State Police responded to a report of a dead body at the cemetery, on Furnace Road in Randolph Center, at about 12:55 p.m. Wednesday, according to a news release.

A paramedic with the White River Valley Ambulance pronounced the man, who police have not identified, dead on scene. His body was transported to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington for an autopsy.

State police continue to investigate, but “this incident is not considered suspicious or criminal in nature,” according to the release.
