Geoff Hansen is the Valley News photo editor, a position he has held since 1998; he was hired as a staff photographer in 1989. Geoff began his newspaper career in high school as a sportswriter for the Brandon Valley Reporter in Brandon, S.D. He later studied photojournalism at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and had internships in Kalamazoo, Mich., and Quincy, Mass. He can be reached at ghansen@vnews.com.

After attending Endicott College and Rhode Island School of Photography, Chief Photographer Jennifer Hauck worked for numerous newspapers in the Boston area. She started freelancing for the Valley News in the early 1990s and was hired full time in 1995. Sarah Priestap started working at the Valley News as an intern in the fall of 2010, and came back as a full-time staff photographer in late summer 2011. Priestap, a Pennsylvania native, began working alongside her parents, both professional photographers, in 2003, and attended Rochester Institute of Technology to receive her B.A. in photojournalism in 2011.
