Annual meeting preview: Kearsarge Regional School District

Articles of note: Separate articles on the warrant for the Kearsarge Regional School District, which includes the Upper Valley communities of New London and Springfield, seek $100,000 each for the School Buildings Maintenance Expendable Trust Fund and the Capital Reserve Roof Fund, both would come from the unassigned fund balance.

Contested races: George B. Foley and Arthur Bobruff are competing for a three-year term representing Springfield on the School Board.

Budgets and spending articles: The proposed budget is $54.3 million, which is up from $51.1 million last year.

When, where and how to vote: Voting is scheduled to take place by ballot on Tuesday, March 12. Polls will be open in New London at Whipple Memorial Town Hall from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Springfield’s polls will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 23 Four Corners Road.
