Hartland School District annual meeting preview

Article of note: An article proposes to withdraw $10,000 from the capital reserve fund to address safety issues on the elementary school playground and to purchase small play items as needed. 

Contested races: Elections for school officers were held in early March.

Budget and spending articles: The proposed operating budget is $11.1 million, up from $10 million last year. The board originally warned a budget of $11.5 million in January, which it later rescinded in order to make spending cuts.

When, where, and how to vote: Ballot voting will take place at Damon Hall in Hartland on Tuesday, April 2 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
