GRANTHAM — The Grantham School Board has selected Dean S.T. Cascadden as SAU 75’s interim superintendent.

Cascadden takes over from Sydney Leggett, who has led the district since 2017. Leggett will lead the Plainfield and Cornish school districts, where she served as interim superintendent last year, in addition to her role in Grantham.

Cascadden, of Merideth, N.H., recently retired after serving as superintendent of SAU 67 — which includes Dunbarton and Bow — for 16 years, according to a letter the Grantham School Board sent to Grantham Village School families. Prior to that, he served as curriculum director and superintendent of SAU 36 in Whitefield. 

Cascadden will start work in Grantham on Aug. 1 and Leggett will be with the district through July.
