North Haverhill — A 43-year-old Grantham man is facing several additional charges that allege he broke into a woman’s Upper Valley home in May and raped her.

Michael Chamberlain recently was indicted by a Grafton County grand jury on two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, as well as burglary and falsifying physical evidence.

He also faces new charges of simple assault, criminal trespass and obstructing the report of a crime or injury.

Chamberlain allegedly broke into the home of a former romantic partner and forcibly sexually assaulted her, according to the indictments. He then allegedly deleted messages he left for her on her phone and disabled the device.

Chamberlain faces a total of 13 charges connected to this case in the North Haverhill courthouse. He has pleaded not guilty to several of them.

He currently is out on bond.

Chamberlain is set to be arraigned on the new charges on July 16.
