Geraldine V. "Gerry" Carrier

Bethel, Vt. — Geraldine V. "Gerry" Carrier, 66, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. She was born June 25, 1951, in Montpelier, Vt., the daughter of Wilbur E. and Catherine (Moulton) Brown. 

She attended school in Bethel, graduating in 1969 from Whitcomb High School. She had been married to Leroy "Butch" Carrier. They lived in Bethel for many years. They were later divorced.

She worked at G.W. Plastics in Bethel for 32 years. The last five years she has worked at The Corner Stop in South Royalton, Vt.

She enjoyed camping and helping the elderly. She was a member of the Royalton First Congregational Church where she was a deacon and President of the Ladies Guild.

She is survived by her boyfriend of 17 years, Richard "Kip" Boardman of Bethel; two brothers, William Brown of Williamstown, Vt., and Robert Brown of Ware, Mass.; a sister Shirley Cook of Hannable, N.Y.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by three brothers, Kenneth Brown, Wilbur Brown, Jr., and James Brown; and a sister, Mildred Buskey.

There are no public calling hours. A Celebration of Her Life will be held Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, at the Canadian Club, 414 East Montpelier Rd., Barre Town, Vt., from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
