Dee Dee, adoptable from Upper Valley Humane Society

“Hi, I’m Dee Dee and I’m a 15-year-old sweet senior. I like to spend my time enjoying the retired cat life, which of course means lots of naps! I’m very sweet, gentle and quite reserved.

“I’ve previously lived in a home with other cats, but have been picky about cat friends here at the shelter.

“If you want a sweet senior gal, then come see me today!”

Dee Dee is up for adoption from the Upper Valley Humane Society, located at 300 Old Route 10 in Enfield and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The Upper Valley Humane Society is also on Facebook and Instagram and can be reached at 603-448-6888.

Nakoma, from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society

“Hi! I’m Nakoma, a 7-month-old spayed female kitten available for adoption. I came here with my mother and all my brothers and sisters. Mom took excellent care of us and was really outgoing, which is why she found a home pretty quickly. We’re not quite as trusting or as sure about things as she was, which is why we’re still here.

“We live in a room together at the shelter, thankfully, because I love my siblings! Our ideal home would accept us as we are, and with the understanding that we’re not the sort of cats that you can pick up and hug, but we are the types of cats that will bring lots of love and appreciation with us. If you have patience and room in your home for me (or us!), stop in today.”

Nakoma is up for adoption from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society, located at 4832 Route 44 in West Windsor and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 12-4 p.m. Lucy Mackenzie is also on Facebook and Twitter and can be reached at 802-484-5829.

Patches, adoptable from Sullivan County Humane Society

“I am 5-year-old Patches! My family sold their home and decided to travel. Sadly, I did not fit into these plans so I was brought here.

“I am a gorgeous girl who is a little shy at first but will be a delight to whatever lucky family chooses to take me home! I am vet checked, spayed, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped and FIV/FeLV negative.”

Patches is up for adoption from Sullivan County Humane Society, located at 145 Broad St. in Claremont. Please see hours on the humane society website at www.sullivancountyhumanesociety.org and Facebook. Call 603-542-3277 or email sullivanhumane@hotmail.com.
