Policing The Police: Community Outreach in Hartford
The latest allegation of brutality -- or use of excessive force, if you will -- against Hartford police is being handled through the by-now-well-established mechanism of referring it to state police for investigation. This presumably will be followed by a review of that investigation by the state Attorney General's Office. In due course, a report will be issued. If the past is any guide, that will be many months from now, and it will not shed much light on key questions. See full story
