That was a strange noodle-lashing the Vermont Judicial Conduct Board administered to Orange County Assistant Judge Prudence Pease last week. In effect, the board said that the side judge had erred seriously enough to require undergoing a remedial course in judicial ethics, but not so seriously that the public would be let in on the substance of the matter.
